“ImmaginAzione” at the Bolivar Theater: Youth Cinema for Prevention

On Tuesday 13th May , at 10.00 am, at the Teatro Bolivar , as part of the initiative “Cinema che classe ! Cinema culture workshops for the schools of Naples”, the final short films of “ImmaginAzione” will be screened, audiovisual laboratory for the prevention of gender violence: relationships, feelings, images. The initiative, promoted and financed by the Municipality of Naples as part of the Cohousing Cinema Napoli project and organized by the Premio Fausto Rossano association, will feature short films made in the laboratories by students from the ITIS Alessandro Volta, IS Alfonso Casanova, SS Pirandello Svevo, ICS 49 Toti Borsi Giurleo schools. The ICS 17 Andrea Angiulli will also be a guest.
ImmaginAzione is a path that brings the young generations into dialogue with cinema, offering a space of expression to explore emotions, relationships and themes related to individual and social growth. With directors Luca Lanzano, Marinella Ioime and Claudio Gargano , the girls and boys have taken their first steps in the cinematographic language as a tool for expression and self-awareness, in the belief that every manifestation of discomfort represents a step towards psychological well-being.
Actor and director Sergio Sivori, artistic director of the project, will also be present at the meeting.
The initiative aims to combat stereotypes and gender violence, promoting a culture of respect and inclusion in interpersonal relationships. The students involved acquired basic skills in audiovisual language, delving into all the phases of the creation of a cinematographic product: from the conception of the idea to writing, from filming to final editing. Among the experts of the workshops, there was also the screenwriter Giulio Nocerino , who supported Claudio Gargano in guiding the participants during the creative process.
